Double stars are counted in the thousands, yet only a small fraction are true binary systems bound by their mutual gravity.
We have conducted observations of some of these systems to compare them with recognized orbital data.

The values of Rho and Theta are expressed in arcseconds and degrees, respectively. Below are some orbits taken from the Sixth Catalog of Orbits of Visual Binary Stars of the USNO (United States Naval Observatory).
On each map, we have indicated the approximate position of the secondary star with a small red circle outlined in black. The primary star, on the other hand, is located at the center of the coordinates 0, 0.
